Danae R. Jimenez

    A Defiance, Ohio native, Danae R. Jimenez is a Wig Maker, Designer and Make-Up Artist, completing her MFA at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). With a cheetah printed soul, Danae has really made a "spot" for herself within the theatre world.

 

     During her years at Saint Mary’s College of Notre Dame, IN Danae participated in every theatrical position from acting to directing, lighting to costumes. 
      At CCM, Danae has been the lead Wig and Make-Up Designer for Her Naked Skin, A Chorus Line, Pentecost and Co-Designer for Il Signor Bruschino. She was the Wig and Make-Up Assistant for Mack and Mabel, Ah, Wilderness!, Carousel, Cosí​ Fan Tutte, The Heidi Chronicles and Legally Blonde. Danae has also has been a Make-Up Artist for The Cunning Little Vixen, American Idiot and Peter Pan.

     Danae keeps herself busy in the summers at Music Theatre Wichita (Kansas). Danae is the Wig and Makeup Designer for the 2017 Season and has held the position of Associate Wig and Make-Up Designer at Music Theatre Wichita for the two previous summers (2015, 2016). 

     Danae also has experience outside Wigs and Make-Up, as an Executive Productive, Danae produced Forever Plaid at Fort Defiance Players (Defiance, OH). She also directed and designed The Final Round, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Almost, Maine at Defiance College (Defiance, OH). For her film work, Danae was lead Hair & Make-Up Designer for #theatrecompany’s The Thankless Child.
